General Wedding Information

General Information

Causeway Bay Hotel & Conference Centre will be the only provider of all food and beverage items. Outside food is not permitted in any of our banquet rooms due to provincial health regulations with exception of Wedding/Celebration cakes.


Music

As governed by the copyright Act, Tariff No.8, all events with live or recorded music wil be charged the applicable SOCAN Music Federal License Fee.

Cost and Estimates

Menu and wine selections must be confirmed FOUR weeks before your wedding date. Menus are subject to change; however, once your menu items have been confirmed we will guarantee the selections and pricing. After your menu selections have been confirmed our Event Coordinator will provide you with an estimate of your total costs. For your reference and budgeting please keep these guidelines in mind;

◊ One bottle of wine (750ml) serves 5 glasses

◊ One bottle of sparkling wine or champagne serves 6 champagne flutes

◊ Estimate a minimum if ½ bottle of wine per person for dinner

◊ Estimate 2 drinks per person for the firsts hour of the reception; then 1 drink per hour for each hour after that

◊ Serving of 100 people takes minimum 1 ½ hours


Gratuity, G.S.T and P.S.T

 The total food and drink charges are subject to a 15% gratuity and GST (5%). All of our Banquet rooms are charged GST(5%).

Ceremonies

Ceremonies are always welcome in the Emerald room. If your ceremony and reception are both going to be in the Emerald room, there is an additional fee of $250.00. The ceremony must be completed and guests must be out of the room by 3:30pm for set up of the reception for 6:00pm. If you have any additional decor that you would like set up for the reception, please contact out Event Coordinator for cost.


Guest Rooms

After your wedding package has been designed or you have talked to our Event Coordinator regarding booking hotel rooms please have your guests call our Guest Service Agents at (250)425-2003 to make their room reservations. When making their reservation please ensure they let our Guest Service Agents know the last name of the wedding to ensure they receive the correct pricing. Please keep in mind if your guests book through Expedia or Booking.com they will get the online rate only.

Our room selections include 2 Double, 1 Queen, 2 Queen, 1 king & Jacuzzi suites along with Pet Friendly & Smoking Rooms. All rooms are subject to availability.


Rehearsal Dinners

There is a variety of different options for a rehearsal dinner whether it's to accommodate a small or large number of people. Please talk to our Event Coordinator for further information.


Brunch

The Day after your wedding have up to 50 of your family and friends in our Red Cedar Room for delicious brunch or you can have a a continental breakfast. Please refer to our Event Coordinator for additional information.
